Snowflake card

Hi Everyone! I decided to play along with both the case study and cas-ual Friday challenge.  The case study challenge asked that you use this gorgeous cupcake as inspiration.  The cas-ual Friday challenge asked that you highlight snowflakes in your project.  You can link to the cas-ual Friday blog here to play along too!

I used the same color combo as the cupcake because I loved the rich chocolate brown with the light blue and white.  I thought the texture of the wreath sort of mimicked the cupcake wrapper.  I added some twine around the wreath to give it texture and placed it on dimensionals to add layering.

I die cut some snowflakes to make my wreath more wintry and added some clear bling to look like the silvery ball sprinkles on the cupcake.  I also did some stitching in silver thread around the edges, not giving much thought to whether it was coming out perfectly straight.  I like the organic look of it.

I finished the inside with a sentiment from Hero Arts and some snowflakes in sno cone MFT ink.

Hope you enjoyed!  Thanks for stopping by...  --Nicole
