CAS-UAL Friday: CFC121

Sunday, November 24, 2013

This concept of clean and simple is new to me.  I am known for adding embellishments and layers to most projects, but I have to admit I am enjoying using my stamps and dies in a new way.  I made another card for the CAS-UAL Friday challenge.

I have a lot of sick friends and family lately and was in need of some get well cards. I kept this card really simple and one dimensional.  The most important thing on this card was making sure everything was centered and lined up nicely.

I added a small sentiment and image on the inside of the card.  I believe in finishing the inside of a card as well as the front.

In the Meadow

I just couldn't put down this stamp set, so I made yet another card!  This time, I used the heat and stick embossing powder to make the snow banks sparkle.  I created an awesome overcast sky using some distress inks, but first I clear embossed some snowflakes.  I die cut the deer out of black cardstock and adhered them using dimensionals.

Supply List:

PTI white and black cardstock
PTI In the meadow die and stamp set
Martha Stewart glitter

Christmas Card

Hi Everyone!  I bought this stamp set last year from PTI and by the time I got around to using it, Christmas was over.  I thought the challenge over at PTI was a good opportunity to use it in two different ways.  This first card is a window style and uses red and gold as its primary colors.

I use heat and stick powder by Ranger to make the tree gold and sparkly.  I used the large scallop nestabilities die to frame the window.

I love how the inside is completely finished, yet there is plenty of white space to write a sentiment to the recipient.  I decided to place to birds on the tree to add a little splash of color.

Supply List:

PTI Kraft and red cardstock
PTI vintage cream cardstock
PTI In the Meadow set
Ranger Sticky embossing powder; gold embossing powder
Michaels gold glitter
Nestabilities circle and large scallop die
Hero Arts Soft brown ink
