Today, I have two layouts to share with you that I made using the Crate Paper Love Notes collection. I just love the colors in this collection. One of my favorite color combos is red and aqua and this collection adds those two colors beautifully.
I was drawn to this polka dotted paper and knew I wanted to use it as a background. On the right hand side, I layered a bunch of different pieces of designer paper and fussy cut the doily heart out of one of them.
On the bottom, I inked up an Ali Edwards stamp and stamped it three times without ever re-inking it back up. I just adore the way it came out.
I ran my title up the left hand side using prima canvas letters from my stash. I have been wanting to use these letters and what better place than a Valentine LO.
I journaled below the title using a number two pencil. I wanted to use the mustache chipboard embellishment, so that is what made my title develop into "My Funny Valentine."
Here is a complete product list for the above LO:
Crate Paper Love Notes Paper in-classic love, going steady, heartsong, sweetheart, checked out, and lovemix
Love Notes: accent stickers, chipboard pieces, overlay, dimensional stickers
Basic Grey micromonos in black
Prima Lyric canvas stickers
Ali Edwards Loving Words Stamp
This next LO was really fun to make. I wanted to put a great deal of product to good use.
I did a lot of layering and sewing on this layout and added a pop of color by using aqua thread.
I did my journaling on a ticket sticker that came with the collection. Below, in the right hand corner, I made a jar of hearts with hearts floating out towards the photo of my husband. I splattered some Mister Hueys in Passport. Even though it's a navy, it can pass for a black too.
